All Our Wrong Todays

“All Our Wrong Todays” is a story of family and friendship, heartbreak and love, technology and society, science and entertainment, ambition and responsibility, time travel and alternate realities, and the versions of ourselves that we shed and grow into through the unexpected, often messy paths of our lives.

I also write movies, like the comedy “What If” (also known as “The F Word”), starring Daniel Radcliffe, Zoe Kazan, Adam Driver, Mackenzie Davis, Megan Park, and Rafe Spall, and directed by Michael Dowse.

In 2021, I was nominated for an Emmy for my work on the hit TV series “This Is Us”—I was a writer on the show for three seasons, becoming Co-Executive Producer in the final season. My favourite episode I wrote for the show was the 4th episode of the 6th season, titled “Don’t Let Me Keep You,” which the New York Times cited as one of the best TV episodes of 2022.

Elan Mastai has conjured up a witty and freewheeling time-traveling romance that packs an emotional wallop. ALL OUR WRONG TODAYS is a page-turning delight.
— Maria Semple, "Where'd You Go Bernadette?" and "Today Will Be Different"
A clever concept that Mastai executes to perfection. An absolute joy to read.
— V.E. Schwab, "A Darker Shade of Magic"
Time travel bends our minds, and in the right hands it can tickle our funny bones. All Our Wrong Todays is a twisty, provocative, creative tale of one person at the center of multiple branching timelines. It’s an extremely enjoyable way to get yourself thinking about our world and the ways it could be very different.
— Sean Carroll, "The Big Picture: On the Origins of Life, Meaning, and the Universe Itself"
As a novelist, I hate Elan Mastai for writing a perfect book. As a reader, I couldn’t be more grateful.
— Ron Currie, "Everything Matters!" and "The One-Eyed Man"
